How does that work?
Step 1: Upload or photograph
It's as simple as it sounds: Upload the file you want translated from your PC or smartphone to the relevant document page. And if you don't yet have the original document digitally, you can simply take a photo of it with your smartphone or tablet during the ordering process. Please ensure good lighting and sharp text.
Step 2: Select language
Select the source and target languages for your document and specify the number of pages or photos you have uploaded. Please note: For double-sided documents, each page of text is counted individually. Complete your order using your preferred payment method.
Step 3: Have it officially translated
As soon as we receive your order, our certified translators will get to work. You'll receive the digital version of your certified translation – complete with signature and stamp – at your email address in just 3-4 days. We'll send the printed version of the translation at the same time, so it arrives in your mailbox as quickly as possible. And of course, there are no shipping costs.

From official document to certified translation:
Creating a certified translation of an official document, complete with signature and stamp, requires only a few simple steps. You can complete these quickly on your laptop or – if you haven't yet saved your document digitally or as a scan – simply with your smartphone or another mobile device (e.g., tablet).
Certified translation – what exactly is that?
-
What is a certified translation?
A certified translation (English: sworn translation or certified translation) is a complete and accurate translation of official documents, prepared by a sworn translator.
A certified translation is verified by a stamp and a signature and is therefore valid with offices, authorities, courts or other official institutions.
Certified translations are often necessary for stays abroad , whether for studying, working, or living abroad for an extended period.
-
What does a certified translation look like?
Certified translations are distinguished by official confirmation in the form of a stamp and a signature. They comprise the complete and accurate translation of an official document and are only produced by sworn translators who are authorized by a court to issue certifications.

Official translation, certified translation and notarial translation: What is the difference?
The terms official and certified translations are often used interchangeably. A translation is considered official when it is an official document whose accuracy is confirmed by an attached certification or affidavit. Certified translations typically gain their validity through a stamp and a signature.
There is no such thing as a "notarized translation" in this sense; rather, one speaks of a "notarized translation." While this term is common in everyday language, it is equivalent to a standard certified translation, since a notary public is not qualified to translate from or into a foreign language.
-
Who provides certified translations?
A certified translation is exclusively prepared by sworn translators. These translators are vetted and authorized by a court to translate and certify official documents. It's good to know that the terms "sworn," "certified," and "authorized" all mean the same thing and describe translators with this official authorization. In Germany, sworn translators are registered in official lists maintained by the judicial authorities. With us, you can easily order a certified translation, and we will automatically connect you with the right translator for your document.

Certified, official, formal – because sometimes it simply has to be that way.
Sometimes it happens more unexpectedly than you think: suddenly you need an important document in another language. For a move abroad, you might need your birth certificate translated , the foreign registry office requires a certified translation of your marriage certificate , or you need a diploma translation for a job or studies abroad. In such situations, things often need to happen quickly and – much more importantly – officially. Because for most authorities or in court, a simply translated document is often insufficient for acceptance. Only a certified translation makes certificates and similar documents legally valid.
With Certification24, you can get a certified translation from your original document in just a few steps – even if you only have a printed copy. Simply take a photo, upload it, and our translators will take care of the rest. The result will arrive in your digital inbox and in your mailbox at home just a few days later.
